Hello,

I am pleased to announce that venue for AfNOG 2008 has been confirmed and would be held in two locations as follows:

WORKSHOP

The Workshop and all Tutorials would be held at the EMI (Mohammadia Engineering Institute ​http://www.emi.ac.ma ) from 24 May - 2 June 2008.

HOTEL & CONFERENCES

GOLDEN TULIP FARAH, Rabat has been selected as the hotel for AfNOG 2008 Event. Block reservation has been made for participants & Instructors, AfriNIC and ISOC. Rooms have also been blocked for meeting attendees on first come first served basis.

The Golden Tulip Hotel is located near the city centre in Rabat and about 3 km from the train station. It has 185 rooms and 8 suites equipped with all the essential elements. The hotel offers many services including a business center a fitness club hairdressing salons 3 restaurants with various specialities.

Golden Tulip is close to Mohamed V museum, Hassan tower and about 3 km from the train station.

CONFERENCES

All Conferences would be held at the Golden Tulip Farah from 3 - 6 June 2008.

TRANSPORT

Train

Air France lands in Rabat, however majority of airlines terminate their flights in Cassablanca. There is an hourly train shuttle between the airport and Cassablanca. One would have to make a change in Cassablanca for Rabat.

The alternative is to take a bus to Rabat.

Bus

EMI is 5 Km away from Golden Tulip hence a twice daily shuttle (morning and evening) between the hotel and EMI would be arranged from 25/5 - 2/6.

MEALS

All breakfast will be at the Golden Tulip hotel.

During the workshop 25/5 - 2/6 a Caterer will be engaged to provide lunch and dinner at the EMI institute.(same as Maputo)

From 3 - 6 June, all meals would be served at the Golden Tulip hotel.
